FROMESIDE Gymnastics Club in Winterbourne celebrated some fantastic results from the male gymnasts who competed at the South West MAG Festival and the South West Floor and Vault competition at Falcon Gymnastics Club in Barnstaple.

James Puddy, competing in the Under-14 Voluntary level, was first overall for his performance at the festival. His award reflected his stellar display, scoring a first on rings, second on both parallel bars and high bar and a third on the pommel.

In the Over-12s, Brad Lewis took first place overall, with a first on rings, second on pommel, parallel bars and high bars and a third on floor. Brad was joined on the podium by his teammate Ekraj Ingale who came second overall, first on pommel and second on rings. Luke Baxter competed well in this level also coming sixth overall and second on vault.

Fromeside went on to shine in the Under-12s with Euan Courtney coming third overall, with a third on both pommel and vault. Thomas Payne came seventh.

Meanwhile in the Under-Ten category, George Collins-Beckett placed 13th overall, Oliver Glanville was 14th overall, Will Schmitz came 15th overall with a second place on vault, Seb Aquilina was 25th overall and Charlie Boorman was 37th overall.

In the South West Floor and Vault portion of the weekend’s festival, there were more Fromeside medals.

In the Under Eights Caden Mosley-McKenzie placed eighth overall with fellow gymnast Oliver Tandy coming 11th overall and achieving a bronze on floor.

Under-tens Archie and Vlad Staddon were 29th and 39th.

Adding to Fromeside’s success, Finley Pauling was named as South West Under-12 Vault champion bring home a gold on vault and coming fourth.

Hayden Humphreys won a silver on vault bringing him in at 13th overall.

Charlie Hughes was placed 25th overall and, in the Open category, Tom Kingdon won bronze.
