ANDREW Schlegelmilch, from Hanham and Martin Goddard, from Yate, have qualified for the national final of the American Golf Nine Hole Championship following an impressive display at the regional qualifyer held at Cumberwell Park Golf Club near Trowbridge.
They now progress to Ryder Cup venue, The Belfry, on September 7 and 8 where they will battle it out for the title of best Nine Hole Pair in the UK.
Schlegelmilch and Goddard secured qualification with victory across the back nine holes in quite horrific wind and rain.
Despite the weather, the pair battled through the elements and took the course apart scoring a remarkable 24 points across the nine holes.
They took the win from Cotswold Hills Golf Club pair Joe Viall and John Rigby who came in with a very creditable 22 points.
