Frampton Cotterell 161-9 lost to Bradley Stoke 181-9 by 20 runs
FRAMPTON Cotterell remain bottom of the Bristol and District Association First Division after they went down by twenty runs to Bradley Stoke at home.
Bradley Stoke batted first and Frampton Cotterell had them on the rack with the top three batsmen going cheaply. But number four Owen Onslow and captain Daniel Peachey, at six, made a big stand which proved the foundations for their 181-9 total.
Gary Winsor was the key bowler for Frampton with an impressive 4-12 from nine overs, including three maidens.
In reply, Frampton started well, with captain and opener Phil Cordy the mainstay with 35 before he was out with his side on 69-3.
Still Frampton made it to 100-4 and were in good health in their run chase. James Tomlinson was the next anchor of the innings as he made 42.
However, Frampton lost regular wickets as they tried to chase their target and ended short on 161-9.
