IN-FORM Yate Town recorded their third successive home win as they swept aside Thatcham Town last night.
The visitors took the lead on 22 minutes when Jamie Leacock finished on the far post.
Yate's response was immediate as Marc Hughes was fouled in the box and top goalscorer Mark Reynolds equalised from the penalty spot.
Dave Mogg's side were awarded another penalty soon after when Hughes was brought down again but this time Reynolds hit his effort wide.
Sam Duggan burst through to put Yate ahead on 36 minutes and within five minutes of the second half Edd Vahid finished off a flowing move to stretch their advantage.
Dean Stow slotted home as Thatcham pulled a goal back on 53 minutes but Adie Adams secured the win for Yate with 12 minutes remaining as he latched onto Reynolds' pass and lobbed goalkeeper Paul Strudley to score.
The victory moved Yate up to ninth and the only negative was that the game saw the lowest home crowd of the season with just 92 people turning up.
Yate welcome unbeaten league leaders Windsor & Eton to Lodge Road on Saturday (3pm).
