THORNBURY captain Richard Trotman will pit his wits against Gloucestershire's most successful ever skipper in a Ten10 Tournament taking place at the Cheltenham Festival on Friday.

Trotman will lead a team representing the Gloucestershire Cricket Board (GCB) in the competition, with Mark Alleyne captaining a Gloucestershire Old Boys’ team featuring former county stars such as Ian Harvery and Martyn Ball, while a Brewin Dolphin XI and a Gloucester Rugby XI will also be competing for honours at the College Ground from midday.

Rockhampton duo Will Cartlidge and Will Tyler and Chipping Sodbury's Chris Willoughby will also play for the GCB.

The day’s entertainment culminates with a Sports Question Time featuring former Gloucester and South African rugby player Thinus Delport, Sochi Olympic gold medallist Lizzy Yarnold, former South Africa and Gloucester cricketing legend Mike Procter and Grand National and Gold Cup-winning trainer Kim Bailey.

Tickets for the question time, which is being held on behalf of local charities Linc and the Fredericks Foundation, are £35 plus VAT to include supper.
