GLOUCESTERSHIRE writer, broadcaster and entertainer, Pam Ayres, will be giving her unique perception on the humorous side of everyday life when she speaks at a charity lunch in the county next week.

The popular poet will be making people smile with her anecdotes and reading from her new collection of poems, You Made Me Late Again!, after lunch at the Ellenborough Park Hotel, near Cheltenham on Wednesday, November 62013.

The Literary Lunch will raise funds for two charities – Cheltenham Animal Shelter (www.gawa.org.uk) and Canine Partners (http://www.caninepartners.org.uk).

You Made Me Late Again! was published last month and guests at the Literary Lunch will be able to get their own personal copy signed by Pam at the Lunch as the book is included in the lunch ticket price.

We were thrilled when Pam decided to become our patron and the Literary Lunch is one of the many ways in which she is supporting us,” said Deborah Barron, Fundraising and PR Manager at Cheltenham Animal Shelter.

“We rely on donations and support from the public. It’s very generous of Pam. We’re delighted that the Lunch will raise much needed funds for the shelter and all the animals here. "

Tickets for the Literary Lunch and the afternoon with Pam cost £75 each and are available from Deborah Barron at Cheltenham Animal Shelter by phone on 01242 548775 or by email to fundraising@gawa.org.uk or from Holly Bryan at Canine Partners on 01730 716013 orhollyb@caninepartners.org.uk
