2014 MasterChef champion Ping Coombes, who hails from Bath, will join Foodies Festival at Bristol Harbourside on Friday, July 11, where she will cook her favourite recipes for festival goers to recreate at home for family and friends.

Foodies Festival, the UK’s largest celebration of food and drink returns to Bristol Harbourside, 11, 12 and 13 July for a three day celebration of the UK's finest produce, street food and culinary masters.

Ping joins other top chefs including judge of BBC’s Great British Menu Glynn Purnell and MasterChef finalists Larkin Cen and Andrew Kojima, as well as Romy Gill from Romy’s Kitchen in Thornbury, Telegraph food writer Xanthe Clay, Louise McCrimmon of Harvey Nichols’ 2nd Floor Restaurant and Richard Davies from the Manor House Hotel.

Other areas of the festival include the MasterChef Street Food Bus which arrives in Bristol for the first time ever and offers a selection of tasty treats for visitors to feast upon on the top deck. This is complemented by the award winning Street Food Avenue where visitors can buy foods from around the world and enjoy them at long banqueting tables in the Feasting Tent.

There are also drinks masterclasses in beer, wine, champagne or cocktails with experts Charles Metcalfe, Melissa Cole and Neil Phillips in the Drinks Theatre and baking masters in the new Chocolate, Cake and Bake Theatre.

There is also an outdoor BBQ Arena to perfect BBQ skills, or for the adventurous a Chilli Eating Competition takes place daily where contestants try and break the record of 13 varieties of chillies eaten in one sitting. A Producers’ Market offers visitors the change to discover local artisan produce as well as premium brands from across the country.

For relaxation, visitors should head to the Real Ale and Cider Farm and the VIP Lounge or chill out in the Ibiza Chill Out Bar where to escape to the White Isle with giant beanbags and hammocks and enjoy exotic cocktails and DJs playing live. The Entertainment Stage offers live music throughout the day until 8pm.
