ON occasions, Dursley Male Voice Choir leaves its home base in the Lister Hall in Dursley to hold a normal practice in different venues. On Wednesday, February 19, such a practice will be held in Thornbury in the Main Hall of Castle School, commencing at 7.30 p.m.

The purpose of this venture is to give local men the opportunity to see just what goes on as we learn music. Although the ability to read music is helpful, it is certainly not necessary. One simply does not have to be a brilliant singer to enjoy the choir and make a good contribution. What is wanted of prospective singers is that they enjoy singing, want to improve and widen their experience. Within the choir there are systems to help and support new choristers in a warm and welcoming environment. Quite simply it is good fun and very rewarding experience.

Anybody who comes to the practice is assured of a warm welcome and a great evening. Why not come along and see just what goes on?
