MIRANDA Sykes and Rex Preston will be performing at Under the Edge Arts, Wotton, this Friday, February 21.

Sykes and Preston have a unique connection, which is a pleasure to listen to, making it plain to see why they share a stage together. ?The rare fusion of double bass and mandolin makes for one of the most exciting new pairings on the acoustic roots scene. Miranda, is best known as the double bass player from folk super-group ‘Show of Hands’, this collaboration with virtuosic mandolin player Rex Preston. Miranda’s rich, showcases her spine tingling vocals and strident yet sensitive playing is which augmented by Preston’s style and fluidity. This duo slips easily between musical genres as diverse as folk, jazz and rock/pop and will not disappoint.
