FOLLOWING the huge success of the concert a year ago with Wynne Evans at Cheltenham Town Hall in aid of the local charity ‘Hope for Tomorrow’, the choir will shortly perform again locally with Wynne on the 5th April 2014 at the Victoria Rooms in Bristol. Once more a great local cause will be supported - the R.N.L.I.

The money raised will be used to establish a new R.N.L.I. Portishead & Bristol Lifeboat station based at Portishead. This will entail building new premises to accommodate the storage and maintenance of the lifeboat, launching tractor and carriage as well as modern crew changing facilities. A multi-purpose crew room for operational planning, training and meetings will also include toilets and a small workshop. Planning permission has been granted and it is hoped that work will begin this year.

The Special Guest Soloist, Wynne Evans, is an internationally recognized tenor and opera star- the nation’s favourite Tenor! He is of course also very well known for his television adverts for a national comparison website.

The concert will commence at 7.30 pm with tickets priced (£20) are available through the Choir and ‘Ticketsource’ on the Choir’s website. Alternatively contact Russ Holloway on 01453 542159 or Huw Jenkins on 01454 613030. Most of the tickets are sold but it would be great to sell out the venue in support of the R.N.L.I.
