LOCAL guitar teacher Chris Finch brings the current season of performances in the Oldridge Bar, Kingshill House, Dursley, to a close on Friday, May 30.
A colourful and expressive performer, Chris Finch always creates a great atmosphere with his music. His musical talent goes back to the age of 10 when he began studying classical guitar, going on to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where his tutors included David Russell and Antonio Albanes. Chris has been a professional musician for over 25 years. During this time he has worked with bands, music services, schools and theatre companies. Apart from his public recitals, he also teaches classical, electric, acoustic and bass guitar both privately and at Gloucestershire primary and secondary schools. Chris has a varied repertoire and includes classical, flamenco, latin, jazz and blues styles covering music from around the world, so we are assured an evening of great music. You can visit his website at chrisfinch.co.uk.
For those who would like a bit of supper along with the music, there will be a tasty home- cooked meal available. The kitchen opens at 7pm, with the entertainment beginning at 8pm. There is no entry charge but the hat is passed around.
