Benedict Cumberbatch has come face-to-face with his eerily lifelike waxwork on The Graham Norton Show.

The model of the Sherlock star was unveiled earlier this week at Madame Tussaud's in London, just around the corner from 221B Baker Street, where the fictional detective Sherlock Holmes lives, although Benedict wasn't able to make the unveiling.

So the Hobbit actor got a proper introduction to the waxwork when it joined him and fellow guests Miranda Hart, Timothy Spall, and Adam Levine in the BBC studios on Graham's chat show this week.

The 38-year-old actor even recreated the pose he struck for the waxwork, to show just how uncanny the likeness is.

Benedict was dressed in a grey suit with a white shirt, while his wax model, which took months to create, is dressed for a premiere in a black Spencer Hart suit and bow tie, similar to the outfit he wore for the Oscars.

The Graham Norton Show is on BBC One at 10.35pm tonight (October 24).
