The Court Players next production is the new family pantomime by Paul Reakes - “Old King Cole” at The Memorial Hall, Rangeworthy on 14, 15 and 20 to 22 February at 7.30pm with matinees on Saturday 15, Sunday 16 and Saturday 22 February at 2.30pm.

King Cole may be old, but he’s not too old to fall in love, and he’s decided that it’s high time that he should take a wife.

The women of the town and royal cook Dotty Dumplin, are queuing up to audition for the role of Queen, but the King already has his heart set on Debbie Dumplin, Dotty’s daughter, as his choice of bride. Unfortunately Debbie has fallen in love with Florian, who also happens to be the King’s aide.

King Cole’s evil brother Peski and his wife Pariah are meanwhile conspiring to unseat him from the throne with a little help from a magic pool that reverses the ageing process, turning Old King Cole into Young King Cole!

A new twist on that very well-known children’s story “Old King Cole” with great scenery, costumes, comedy, singing, dancing, and a myriad of special effects will see you transported into the land of fantasy and fun.

This production will give young and old alike the chance to join in with the songs, toe tap to the delightful dances and laugh along to the jokes and hilarious incidents. Come along and enjoy and evening of traditional pantomime at its best!
