THORNE David "Dave" of Tortworth, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday 9th January 2021. Beloved husband of June, much loved father of Louise and Paul, he will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him. A private family service is to be held at Westerleigh Crematorium on Wednesday 10th February 2021. Family flowers only, donations in memory of Dave can be made payable to either 'St Peter's Hospice' or 'Sands', C/o Grimes and Goscombe, Chipping Manor, The Chipping, Wotton Under Edge GL12 7AD

Dave will be sadly missed by everyone. A true gentleman. He helped me a lot when I was a novice detectorist. He liked to share his impressive knowledge with all of us, and loved to talk about his family. My deepest condolences. A really nice man and friend.
