HISTORIC CHURCHES COMMITTEE FOR THE DIOCESES OF SOUTHWARK, ARUNDEL & BRIGHTON, PORTSMOUTH, PLYMOUTH AND CLIFTON PRESS NOTICE Application reference #1197 dated 11/07/2019 has been received by the above Committee for approval of the following works to an exempt ecclesiastical building.
1. Immaculate Conception (Church) - Stroud.
Grade II (Listing Number: 1090134)
2. Works Proposed:
The gas-fired condensing boiler that provides heating to the Church, the Sacristy and the Church Hall, was notified as not being fully compliant when last inspected. There are four problems relating to gas pressure, flue position, condensate drainage and controls. Relocating the boiler will improve gas pressure, discharge gaseous effluent through a short horizontal flue, route condensate to an external drain. A multi-zone controller would be fitted. Redundant pipework will be removed and various fabric penetrations made good.
3. Applicant:
Rev Christopher Whitehead - The Presbytery, Beeches Green, Stroud, Gloucestershire, GL5 4AA
