TEMPORARY CLOSURE B4060 STAHCOMBE, DURSLEY TO NORTH NIBLEY (WORTH NIBLEY PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council has made an order under the

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily

close part of the B4060 Stancombe, Dursley to North Nibley

from its junction to Nibley Green to B4060 and to its junction

with "New Road" and New Road to The Grange North Nibley

for a distance of approximately 260 metres.

The reason for the closure Is for excavation and strengthening

of a retaining wall adjacent to Stancombe Bridge.

The road was expected to be closed from 20th July 2020

until 7th August 2020 or until the works have been

completed. However works were delayed due to issues on site

and an ecological survey. Under the existing order, the road

is now expected to be closed from 30th November 2020 to

Pedestrian access to premises on or next to the road will be

maintained. Emergency access can not be maintained due

to excavations within the carriageway.
