South Gloucestershire and Stroud College (SGS) in conjunction with its partners, the University of Gloucestershire and Versarian Limited are committed to continually improving the educational facilities within which young people learn. To this end it is proposing to develop a University Technical College (UTC) at The Berkeley Centre. The SGS Berkeley Green UTC is being established to directly respond to the high demand for skills across the region and locally in both Advanced Engineering and Digital Technologies. It will provide technical vocational education for 660 14 to 18 year olds and supporting progression to Higher Education, Employment, Apprenticeships, Higher Apprenticeships and Degree Apprenticeships.
Funding for the project has already been secured and the next stage is the submissionofadetailedplanningapplicationtoStroudDistrictCouncil. Have yoursay - Public Exhibition and Open Event

To enable the local community to view the draft proposals and provide feedback ahead of the submission of the planning application, a public exhibition will be held on Saturday 14th November 2015 between 10am and 2.00pm at Block C11
The BerkeleyCentre, Berkeley
Allthoseattendingwillbemetatthegatehouseandescortedtotheexhibition. Members of the project team and representatives of the college will be on hand to discuss the proposals with you, to answer your questions and to hear your views.
Importantly, therewill alsobeanopportunityforyoutoprovidetheteamwith your feedback.
