THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES' TRAFFIC ORDERS (PROCEDURE) (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 1996 NOTICE OF MAKING OF ORDER STROUD DISTRICT COUNCIL (OFF STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2010 VARIATION ORDER 2019 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that by the powers vested in it pursuant to the above legislation, Stroud District Council has made the above Order ("the Order") which will amend the Stroud District Council (Off Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2010 ("the 2010 Order"). The effects of the Order are summarised as follows:

1. The car park at Stratford Park, Stratford Road, Stroud shall be designated as an off-street parking place;



2. The parking charges at the car parks in Painswick and Stonehouse shall be abolished;



3. The maximum stay period at Cheapside Car Park, Stroud is extended to 72 hours with charges introduced at a rate of £6.00 for up to 48 hours and £9.00 for up to 72 hours (the charges for shorter stays to remain as at present);



4. All off-street parking places except for Stratford Park shall have a maximum gross vehicle weight of 3,500kg;



5. Alterations are made to the boundaries of the off-street parking places at Cheapside, Stroud and Newmarket Road and Old Market West, Nailsworth; and



6. Provision is made for payments by credit and debit card where appropriate machinery is installed, the use of electric vehicle charging points and to clarify the penalty charge regime.



A copy of the Order, together with a copy of the 2010 Order may be viewed upon request at the Council's Offices at Ebley Mill, Ebley Wharf, Stroud, GL5 4UB or online at https:// www.stroud.gov.uk/parking-streets-and-travel/ parking/stroud-district-car-parking-review/ variation-order. If any person wishes to question the validity of the order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for that purpose to the High Court. The Order is dated 18th March 2019 will come into force on 1 st April 2019. Joanne Jordan
