Suki Pascoe

Suki is the executive headteacher at Bibury C of E Primary School and North Cerney C of E Primary School.

She was nominated by a parent of a Bibury pupil who said her son had ‘come on in leaps and bounds’ since joining the school.

“All the staff are wonderful but Mrs Pascoe goes above and beyond just being a teacher, she has a true passion for wanting the best for all her pupils,” they said.

Suki said: “I love my job, I have the best job in the world.

“It’s such a privilege to empower young people.

“I do my job because I love it. It’s nice to have some recognition of that.”

Maggie Halsey

Maggie has just retired after being headteacher at Rodborough Primary School for 18 years.

She is no stranger to awards. Above she is holding her Promethean Teaching Award for Headteacher of the Year in a Primary School at the south west heat of the 2006 Teaching Awards.

The person who nominated Maggie said she was ‘an inspiration’’.

“A whole generation of children have been provided with a safe, secure, supportive and nurturing environment at primary school thanks to Maggie,” they added.

Her deputy at Rodborough said: “She is an incredible coach, mentor and friend.”

Sandra Lewis

Sandra has helped ensure hundreds of vulnerable young people are safe from harm over the last 20 years.

For the last four years she has been working as a safeguarding and multi agency coordinator at The Peak Academy, also nominated for a Pride of the Cotswolds award.

She helps young people with a range of social, emotional and mental health issues.

Sandra said: “I am truly humbled by the nomination, I love my job working at The Peak Academy and feel glad that in my position I can and have been be able to offer support and assistance to so many pupils and their families over the years.”
