REVIEW: The Moreton in Marsh Show on Saturday, September 2
WE ARRIVED at the show after a small queuing in the car, but had arrived at peak time and was definatley worth the wait. The entrance point was welcoming and swiftly moving.
Upon entering we first visited the agricultural section with the cattle and livestock and were lucky to see some of the competition winners. This area was interesting for visitors as well as one of the main areas for competitors.
The home and garden exhibitors were selling a range of beautiful one off products at reasonable prices for a show and even offered a buy now collect later service which was very convenient.
After building up an appetite whilst walking round the show we were pleased to see it was not just standard show cuisine with stalls in the food and craft marques to the usual food vans ranging from fish & chips and Morocco cuisine.
Catering also included gluten free options which can often be rare. Many of the sellers in the food marquee were giving out samples ranging from gin to home made chocolates which was a good way to encourage buying.
The retail sector was varied and plentiful ranging from home made individual crafts to the clothing range aimed at the exhibitors and visitors to the show.
The grand arena was showing regular entertainment and presentations throughout the whole day varying with animals and machinery action.
Overall the show was enjoyable, educational , family friendly and varied.
