THE Open Secrets return to UTEA on Saturday, April 25, with their exciting new project.

The band prides itself on performing original material in the Americana tradition, but over several months an idea took hold, to develop a project interpreting and performing the songs of Bob Dylan - and it’s proven very popular!

The band, take their name, 'The Open Secrets ' from the collection of short stories of the same name by Canadian writer Alice Munro,

The Open Secrets combine the best of modern country and old-time mountain music, their brand of Americana will put you in mind of Ryan Adams and Gillian Welch. The Open Secrets, however, write and play with an emotional intensity that is all their own.

This band brings the dustbowl tradition into the 21st Century, their songs are populated by drunks, losers and drifters. But every once in a while love wins out and the guy gets the gal. To find out more, visit their website at
