CHRISTMAS is fast approaching but before you get wrapped up in present buying, mince pies and decorations why not enjoy an evening out at Thornbury Orchestra's fabulous Winter Concert?
The programme this Winter includes Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis, the E Flat Wind Serenade by Strauss and Sibelius Symphony No. 5. The orchestra always tries to include a performance of a piece by a local composer - this winter we will be performing the premier of Piers Lichl's Thornbury Tango.
This year they will be performing a stunning programme at The Castle School in Thornbury on Saturday, November 28 at 7.30pm. Entry to the concert is free of charge but there will be a retiring collection for Cancer Reasearch UK. As always there will be refreshments available at the interval.
Come along an support your local orchestra in what is sure to be a wonderful concert of beautiful music. Visit www.thornburyorchestra.org.uk for more details.
