Strictly Come Dancing’s Judge Rinder has vowed not to give a “Full Monty” despite stealing the limelight by flashing his torso.
The TV star’s energetic cha-cha with dance partner Oksana Platero has become the most popular social media clip in Strictly history.
The criminal barrister, 38 – real name Robert Rinder – told Good Morning Britain that as he does not have a dance background, he needs all the help he can get.
But he said that he has his limits when it comes to stripping off.
Asked whether he enjoyed watching back his performance to the song Mercy, Rinder – who is better known for his stern judge persona – admitted: “Not really, I tend not to watch myself.
“I’m forced to do so by Oksana. I’m forced to do all sorts of things by Oksana! She’s a very forceful woman.”
He dismissed suggestions that he could win the BBC One series after receiving such an enthusiastic response from viewers and with head judge Len Goodman exclaiming: “You put the boy in flamboyant!”
“Probably not,” Judge Rinder said of his chances of stealing the Strictly Glitterball.
But he added: “I’m just sort of enthusiastic in having a good time. I don’t really have a dance background, so before I went out, with the promise of Oksana’s threat, she said ‘look, just have a good time’.”
Asked whether he would be stripping off further, he told presenter Piers Morgan: “Not too much (but) I just need all the help I can get really. I don’t think you’re going to see a Full Monty. I’m sorry to disappoint you, Piers!”
