CHARLES Dickens' timeless story of the orphan Oliver who wanted more is coming to Dursley in May.
Dursley Operatic and Dramatic Society (DODS) is performing Lionel Bart's classic musical Oliver! between May 4 to 9 at the Lister Hall, Dursley.
The show features the legendary characters of Nancy, Dodger, Sykes, and Fagin, and is packed with wonderful songs such as Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, I’d Do Anything, Pick a Pocket or Two and As Long As He Needs Me.
Director Ken Hitchings said: “Oliver! really does have something for everyone as a show. It combines a dramatic story of gritty life in Dickensian London with Lionel Bart’s wonderful score. All the cast and production team are working hard to ensure this is a memorable DODS musical.”
