PEOPLE who think they may be at risk of osteoporosis can have an assessment during a health check day in Thornbury, Dursley and Chipping Sodbury.
Scans to check patients’ risk of osteoporosis will be available on Wednesday, January 23.
The sessions take place at Thornbury Armstrong Hall from 9-11am, Dursley Methodist Church from 12noon-2pm and at Chipping Sodbury Town Hall from 3-6pm.
Bone fractures are common in postmenopausal women but scans for risk of future fracture due to osteoporosis are not always readily available on the NHS.
The non-invasive scans are being run by Health Assessments. For further information and to book an appointment call 0800 612 6106.
