A 32-year-old Dursley man is to stand trial in July on a serious assault charge.
At Gloucester Crown Court Christopher Goodfield of Phelpsmill close, Dursley, faced a charge of causing grievous bodily harm to Paul Harrison with intent on April 13, 2013.
Judge Jamie Tabor QC set a plea and case management hearing for April 11 with trial listed for July 14.
"This is a serious case," said the judge. "It is essential that your advocates have your full instructions prior to the plea and case management hearing."
Kevin Drew, 37, of Stevens Way in Horsley faces the same allegation but was not present.
