A CONSULTATION exercise has started over plans to change speed and waiting limits on some roads in Olveston.
The proposed alterations are part of a package of measures to make it safer to travel to and from the village primary and within the area surrounding the school.
They include introducing a 20mph limit on New Road, The Street, Aust Road, Ley Lane, The Common, Church Hill, Vicarage Lane and Daldry Gardens.
South Gloucestershire Council is also considering the introduction of new waiting restrictions and the amendment of existing waiting restrictions around the junction of Aust Road and Elberton Road and around the junction of The Street and Vicarage Lane.
Matthew Riddle, the South Gloucestershire councillor for the area, said: "No decisions have been made nor anything set in stone but the council does want to hear the views of local residents."
