TRAFFIC is being held up in Cam on the A4135 following an accident involving a single car.
A green Peugeot was the only car involved in the accident on the junction of Manor Avenue and Draycot, which police were called to at 4.20pm.
A witness said that a man, apperently the driver of the vehicle, was being treated by paramedics.
They added that there were quite a few people watching and a "huge traffic jam".
Thornbury reporter Josh Wright said it looked as though the car had struck a lamp post, noting that there was still a lot of traffic when he viewed the scene at about 5.45pm.
A police spokesman said there had been no serious injuries, adding that the road should be back to normal soon.
