STAFF and volunteers at a Chipping Sodbury charity shop have appealed to families to clear out their old toys and help raise money for vulnerable children.
The Barnardo's shop in Hatherell's Yard is taking part in a national toy exchange, which last year raised nearly £83,000 for the organisation.
Donations can be made at the shop until November 25. In return, supporters will receive a £5 voucher towards the cost of new toys at Argos, which has run the scheme for three years.
Gerard Cousins, Barnardo’s director of retail and trading, said: “Our charity helps some of the most disadvantaged youngsters in the UK, such as those growing up in poverty, those trying to escape abuse and those living in care."
