THE police are appealing for information following a serious road traffic collision in Gloucester today where an 18-year-old motorcyclist suffered serious head injuries.
The police were called to a road traffic collision at 8.15am in Trier Way, Gloucester, at the junction with Midland Road.
The collision involved a 125cc Aprilia motorcycle and two motor vehicles: a blue Ford Fiesta and a black Honda Accord.
The motorcyclist, an 18-year-old male from Gloucester, suffered serious head injuries.
He was transferred by air ambulance to Southmead Hospital.
The road was closed for four hours pending recovery of the vehicles.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this collision or the traffic situation just beforehand, and have not yet given their details to police, to contact them as soon as possible on 101 quoting Incident 45 of 26 March 2015.
