THE police are appealing for information after a woman was slapped and punched by a man in Gloucester.
At 12.30pm on Thursday, March 26 a man and woman walked through Eastgate Shopping centre and exited into Greyfriars Street then walked along Southgate Street.
They were arguing and the man slapped then punched the woman who fell to the ground.
Two male members of the public intervened and the offender then hit one of these men who subsequently defended himself.
The offender is white with short frizzy hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt, dark jacket and carrying a blue duffle bag.
Police would like hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has any further information. Please call 101 quoting incident number 166 of 26th March 2015.
