THE police are investigating a possible link between the thefts of a trailer and a mower from two separate properties in the Forest of Dean.

In the first incident, on the morning of Sunday, April 12, an Ifor Williams GD85 Mk3 trailer (registration no VU05 RGO) was taken from a home in The Village, Dymock, while the owner was at church.

Later that day, staff at the Three Choirs Vineyard, Newent, found that thieves had broken into a barn and stolen an orange Kubota GR1600 diesel ride-on mower.

Items of rubbish left at the vineyard were identified as having come from the trailer.

This evidence, together with tyre tracks found at the scene suggest that the stolen trailer may have been used to remove the mower.

Anyone who remembers seeing a trailer being driven away from either location, or who knows anything about either theft is asked to call 101, quoting incident 224 of 12 April 2015 for the trailer and incident 202 of 13 April 2015 for the mower.
