A JOINT effort saw the growth of a daffodil bank in Yate fields over the weekend.
Yate councillors Mike Drew and Chris Willmore joined Sam McDonald from the group Friends of Brinsham Park to plant wildflower along the daffodil bank in Brinsham Fields on Sunday, April 12.
Cllr Wilmore said: "The whole idea of the flower bank was Sam's. I think it should be called Sam's Bank. "Daffodils were planted last year by the friends and have looked wonderful.
"We planted summer wildflowers, with plants provided by the town council."
