THIRTY forest animals will be hiding in Chipping Sodbury this summer for the return of the town’s popular window trail.

In previous years children have been tasked with finding missing sheep and sheep dogs hidden in shop windows up and down the High Street and for 2016, it is the turn of squirrels, owls, hedgehogs, badgers and reindeer.

The toy animals will take their places in participating shops from Monday, July 11 with the free to enter trail running throughout the school summer holidays until September 3.

Young and old simply need to fill in the trail map with the name of each missing animal and return the form for a chance to win one of the cuddly toys.

Jo Cox, chairman of Sodbury Chamber of Commerce which is running the trail, said: “The idea behind our summer search is to attract tourists and visitors to take part in a fun, free family activity and at the same time see all the wonderful independent shops and cafes Chipping Sodbury has to offer as well as free parking.”

A prize giving ceremony will take place during the Chipping Sodbury Food and Drink Festival on Saturday, September 10.

Maps and entry forms will be available from Chipping Sodbury Tourist Information Centre from next Monday.
