A 60-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident at a pub in Yate.
Stephen Hacker, of Colesborne Close, Yate, has been charged with the attempted murder of a 35-year-old man at the Railway Inn on Station Road, Yate, in the early hours of Friday, September 2.
He has been remanded in custody and was due to appear before Bristol Magistrates’ Court today, Saturday.
A police spokesman said a 35-year-old man had suffered "serious throat injuries" at the Railway Inn on Station Road, but was not in a life-threatening condition.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said: "If you have information which could help us, please call North East Investigations on 101. You will need to give the call handler the reference 5216194963."
