THE Daily Planet, one of the country’s best loved acoustic bands from the 90’s is back for a handful of gigs to celebrate their 20th anniversary and they are coming to Under the Edge Arts!

In the 1990s, The Daily Planet toured extensively in America and Europe playing some of the world’s biggest festivals and recording three acclaimed albums. In 2003 they decided to call it a day to pursue different projects and disappeared into bluegrass and roots music folklore.

Now, they are back and reforming the original lineup to do a handful of gigs to celebrate 20 years since first forming the band and to revisit the songs they wrote together.

The band is made up of Jason Titley on acoustic guitar, Leon Hunt on Banjo, Jamie Matthews on harmonica and Dominic Harrison on double bass and vocals.

This is an amazing opportunity to see the band in its original exciting line-up in Wotton-Under-Edge. Tickets are limited so you had better be quick!

The Daily Planet will be performing live at the Chipping Hall at 8pm on Saturday, October 22. Tickets cost £9.50/£7.50 and can be purchased from the Fish out of Water Gallery in Wotton, at the UTEA website www.utea.org.uk or by calling Under the Edge Arts on 07791 3232869. They can also be purchased at the door subject to availability.
