A WINTER wonderland is being constructed at Almondsbury Garden Centre, to be ready for its Christmas launch next month.

Shoppers can come and enjoy their interactive Christmas displays as well as free mulled wine and live choir singing.

The centre has invested in huge interactive Christmas-themed displays to help visitors get into the festive spirit.

The grand displays are adorned with Christmas lights, and take guests on a journey of Christmas time around the globe at stops including Scandinavia, Germany, Morocco and the North Pole.

There are frames at each display for selfie opportunities should shoppers like to have their photos taken with the polar bears and penguins, elves in the present production line or Santa Claus with his sleigh.

There is also a quiz and kids’ puzzle to help youngsters enjoy their shopping experience and have fun exploring the centre.

The garden centre sells a lot of Christmas trees and indoor and outdoor Christmas lighting over the festive period, some of which is app operated.

This year they are also focusing on novelty gift items, and sticking to their roots by offering plenty of unique plants and flower present options.

Marketing manager Richard Truscott said: “We have a huge, unique range of gift items for people to choose from. We use different brands which I think offer more appeal and edge than presents people can buy from some of the chains.”

Richard offered his thanks to local people who use the centre throughout the year for their support.

The festive launch weekend takes place all day on November 5 and 6, from 9am to 5pm.
