THE Gazette recently ran an article about 'hazardous' Cam and Dursley Station parking, but do you think parking charges could solve this issue?

Residents, councillors and transport campaign groups united to call for action to stop “hazardous” parking outside Cam and Dursley rail station.

Due to a lack of spaces in the station car park, drivers have resorted to parking in the road – a move that has been described as dangerous by other road users.

Wendy Thomas, of Cam and Dursley Transportation Group, suggested extra spaces was only a partial solution.

Alan Bently, integrated transport manager at GCC encouraged people to leave their cars at home.

But would charging commuters to park their cars at the solution solve the chaotic parking issues?
