A SEVERE car fire on the M5 between Stroud and Quedgeley caused two lane closures.
Gloucestershire fire service were called to the incident at 11.36am.
Two of three lanes between Junction 13 (Stroud) and Junction 12 (Quedgeley/Hardwicke) had been closed as a result, both northbound
A car was left severely damaged severely, the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
One crew from Stroud attended and used one hose reel and two breathing apparatus to deal with the fire.
Police helped to put lane closures in place while crews dealt with the fire.
Traffic was building in the area, but iwas still moving.

At 12.21pm the lanes were reopened, the fire was put out and the vehicle was moved to the hardshoulder.
Traffic is now easing in the area.
