THORNBURY Town Football Club are looking for an enthusiastic coach to take the reins of their blossoming girls’ under-12s team.
The team was set up 18 months ago with the club and the Gloucestershire Football Association running sessions in primary schools to build an interest for girls in the sport at a young age.
Numbers have since grown, with the club having now taken ownership of the team and around 14 girls now regularly attending sessions.
Vice-chairman Toni Watola said that the club were looking for someone keen and enthusiastic to help girls from the town develop a passion for the sport and a talent for the beautiful game.
The club would be willing to help the new coach in gaining their qualifications.
