POLICE have released CCTV images of a man they want to identify following an attempted robbery in South Gloucestershire.
The incident occurred on Saturday at around 11pm, when a man walked into the Kwik Save store in Two Mile Hill Road in Kingswood, and threatened staff with a knife.
One of the employees picked up a stepladder and managed to chase off the offender.
Fortunately nothing was stolen during the attack.
The man in the images is described as white, slim, in his late twenties or early thirties, around 5ft 10ins, with short dark hair and an angular long nose.
He was wearing a green jacket and light blue jeans.
Police have asked for anyone who might know the man in the images, or has any information about the attempted robbery to get in touch by calling 101 and using the reference number 5217206878.
