AN elderly driver was reportedly taken to hospital after the large trailer he was towing overturned in a narrow lane.
The accident happened in Burnivale, Malmesbury, on Friday.
Jane McCall, who runs a bed-and-breakfast nearby, said: "There was an old man driving.
"He has been taken to hospital, and was just a bit shocked, I think.
"Apparently, he was lost, poor man. We all wish him a speedy recovery."
She said the trailer appeared to be designed to carry cattle, but was empty at the time of the accident.
"I was relieved as the trailer missed my B&B guest's car by a couple of inches," she added.
She said she believe the driver was a farmer who had been following sat nav instructions down the lane when his trailer clipped a boulder and overturned.
