APPLICATIONS for grant funding of up to £170,000 are being invited from businesses in the Cotswolds.

Two programmes are available for small businesses and community organisations in Gloucestershire to receive funding from, the RDPE Growth Programme and the Leader programme.

The Growth Programme is open to applications from businesses, social enterprises, farmers, land-owners, rural community groups, charities and public bodies that encourage tourism in rural parts of the county, with grants ranging from £35,000 up to £170,000 available.

The Leader Programme is open to applicants for projects which support national and local key investment priorities including farm productivity, business support/farm diversification, tourism, culture and heritage and forestry productivity, with £5,000-£100,000 up for grabs.

Both grants are funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.

If you would like to know more about either of these funding streams, the application process or to discuss your project idea, go to an information event at the Kings Head in Cirencester from 10am-12pm on Thursday, January 11, email gpenquiries@rpa.gsi.gov.uk or call 03000 200 301.
