Prison absconder apprehended by police after being sighted in Thornbury
A PRISONER who was spotted in Thornbury after absconding from Leyhill Prison has been apprehended.
Darren Hodgkinson, 25, is believed to have left Leyhill Prison on Saturday evening and had been seen in Thornbury shortly afterwards.
It had been suggested that Hodgkinson was attempting to return to Southampton, where he is from, and was apprehended by Hampshire Police on Monday.
Avon and Somerset Police have thanked everyone for sharing their appeal.
