A MAN was pushed to the ground after disturbing four men who had broken into the house of one of his neighbours.

Police were called shortly before 7.30pm yesterday to Shutehay Drive in Cam with reports of a burglary in progress at a house.

The four men were overheard by a neighbour who was returning from walking his dog.

They then left the property, pushing the neighbour to the ground while fleeing. The man was not injured in the incident.

On arrival officers found the back door of the home had been smashed although it is not yet known whether anything was stolen.

The men fled in what is believed to be a light coloured vehicle.

They were dressed all in black; were about 5ft 10ins tall and of slim build; and had their faces covered.

Any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police should call 101 and quote incident 349 of January 10.
