VILLAGERS from Iron Acton enjoyed a behind the scenes tour of the Houses of Parliament this week, courtesy of MP Luke Hall.
A full coach of residents travelled up the the heart of Westminster, where they received a full guided tour of both the House of Lords and House of Commons.
The tour was so popular that many missed out, so a second coach trip - already fully-booked - has been arranged for next month.
After the guided tour, the Thornbury and Yate MP’s Q&A session followed, which took place in one of Parliament's committee rooms, before a trip to the riverside terrace for photos.
“It has been a real pleasure to have welcomed Iron Acton to Parliament, for my first village tour of the year,” said Mr Hall.
“I hope to invite many more towns and villages throughout 2018.”
