FIREFIGHTERS raced to a flat in Patchway last night following reports of a fire breaking out in a kitchen.
Crews from Patchway and Southmead fire stations were dispatched to Willow Close just after 10pm, following the callout.
The fire had been put out prior to their arrival, with crews using positive a pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke from the property.
An Avon Fire and Rescue spokesman said it was believed the fire had been started accidentally.
