THE FAMILY of a motorcyclist who died in a crash near Acton Turville last month have paid tribute and revealed their devastation at his death.
David Marshall, 39, died when his green Kawasaki ZX6R was in collision with a grey Vauxhall Insignia on the B4039 between Acton Turville and Burton on February 24.
Avon and Somerset Police have released a statement from the family, in which they say: "David was a much loved husband, father, son and brother and as a family we are heartbroken and devastated at his sudden loss.
"David was well-known within the biker community and we thank them and our friends for all their support.”
Mr Marshall sadly died at the scene of the accident, the police said in a statement released following the incident.
In the same statement, the force expressed an interest in speaking to anyone who was on the B4039 at the time of the incident, in particular, the occupants of a horse box.
The spokesman added: “If you witnessed the collision, or have any information which could help us, please call 101 and tell the call handler you are phoning in relation to log 521 of today (24/2)."
