AN AFTER school and holiday club in Winterbourne is celebrating after receiving an outstanding rating from Ofsted.
The Greenfield Club provides a daily breakfast club and after school club for children attending Elm Park and St Michael's primary schools, catering for up to 45 youngsters, aged from four to 11. It also offers a holiday club throughout the school holidays, with a range of activities, including crafts, games and trips.
“We’re super proud of our outstanding inspection report – the team have worked really hard to ensure that our standard of care is at its highest,” said club manager Sian Pumford.
The Ofsted report highlighted the team's commitment to training “highly skilled staff” who work “tirelessly with local schools, pre-schools and other early years providers to fully complement the delivery of the early years foundation stage”.
The inspector added that: “The manager is an exceptional role model and empowers her staff highly effectively”.
It was also noted that “children thrive” with the support of “very caring and knowledgeable staff” who “meet their emotional well-being exceedingly well”.
The club is a non-profit making charity with a management committee whose members act as trustees.
