A RANGEWORTHY land owner is appealing for information about the disappearance of five sheep from his property.
One hundred and fifty sheep from a farm in the Brecon Beacons had been grazing on grassland at Tony Clements’ Lower Common property.
But when the owner came to collect the animals on March 15, he discovered that there were only 145.
“I can’t understand it,” Mr Clements said.
“I’ve been round all the other local farmers and I’ve reported it to the police, but no sheep have been found.
“The gate was locked and chained. I’ve got no explanation for it,” he said.
“They were Welsh Mules, which are really big, much bigger than local sheep.”
Mr Clements is now offering a reward for any information about the disappearance.
